Viratio Da Fonseca, aka "Tex",  Musician, MC, Vocalist, Voiceover and Vocal Coach, grew up in a typical Portuguese home. His parents were born in Portugal and came to South Africa when they were very young. Music and parties was a way of life for them. From the age of six, Tex's father, being a musician himself, decided that Tex should pursue a career in entertainment.

As such, Tex started learning music at a young age and quickly acquired a love for the stage. Since childhood he has studied many forms and styles of music. This became a strong base for Tex to market his multiple skills in the entertainment industry.

As a performer, Tex's versatility is one of his key strengths. Flexibility and humour 'make or break' an entertainer's success and in keeping with this, Tex has learned to be highly adaptable.

He speaks and understands English, Afrikaans, Portuguese and Spanish.

Tex has had the privilege and pleasure of sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Prime Circle, Dr. Victor, Dornae, First Project, Veronique (IDOLS) and other great South African artists.

Tex has toured internationally as a session musician in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Austria, New Zealand as well as in Mozambique, Botswana and Swaziland.

Tex is one of the regular Lusito Land presenters and has been resident MC and musician for an upmarket Brazilian Dine & Dance venue, for 15 years.

Tex MC's and entertains for various corporate clients including FNB, ACP, MSO, Dorma, Flavourome, Party Creations and others.

He is well known in the Portuguese community as both musician and MC, regularly hosting functions for the Portuguese Consulate when there are visiting delegates from abroad.
