Kass Naidoo is South Africa’s first female cricket commentator, and is recognized internationally for her dynamic post-match cricket presentations. Kass made her cricket presenting debut for SABC Sport at the 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup.
During the Boxing Day test in 2004 between South Africa and West Indies, Kass made her radio commentary debut on Radio 2000. In October 2005, Kass achieved her biggest dream of commentating on television during the One Day home series between New Zealand and South Africa.
Her international commentary debut came at the 2006 Hong Kong Cricket Sixes, at the legendary Kowloon Cricket club. Kass was chosen by Cricket South Africa as its voice-over artist for the DVD featuring the Greatest Ever One Day ‘438’ international, between SA and Australia.
In August 2006, Kass was appointed to the International Cricket Council’s voting academy to choose the International Women’s Cricketer of the Year. Also in August 2006, Kass launched gsport…for Girls! – an initiative aimed at raising the profile of women in sport, and showcasing outstanding South African women who serve as role models.
