Michael Mol

Michael Mol is a qualified medical doctor with a vested interest in emergency medicine and advanced trauma, cardiac and paediatric life support.

Some years ago he carried his charisma from the casualty room over to the small screen and has co-anchored Top Billing, South Africa's longest running prime time magazine program, ever since. He has spoken to the stars, travelled the world and shared his experiences in a personal and endearing way with a captive audience.

Michael's most recent accolades include NTVA stone Awards for best presenter (2000 & 2001), for scriptwriting (2001), and GQ's most stylish man of the year. A former Mr. South Africa, he is also a Red Cross Children's Champion and a patron of SA Cares for Life and The Living Hope Community Centre.

In October 2006, Michael was appointed as CEO of Paragon Health – a company focused on the growth and development of Human Capital through optimal health and education.

Michael Mol is a writer and speaker who suffers from an incurable ailment... an insatiable thirst for endogenous adrenalin!

From sky-diving out of a hot-air balloon, to running the bulls in Pamplona, to scuba diving under an frozen lake, to wing-walking on a bi-plane, to surfing the great Zambezi white waters on a body board and bungi-jumping off the highest bridge in the world, backwards! ... There's nothing that Michael would shrink back from – as yet!

Naturally. Michael adheres to the old adage, "Do as I say, not as I do!"... or does he?!

Michael's interpersonal and business skills, together with his ability to identify, simplify and pass on insightful observations about the world we live in, and an endearing presentation style, have made him a favourite with conference organisers and business professionals around the world.

As a Master of Ceremonies, Michael Mol has few equals and he is much sought after, around the world. Some of his personal highlights include: Miss South Africa 1998 (live broadcast), Miss South Africa Teen (1999, 2000, 2001 - all live broadcasts), Miss Africa 2001, 2002 (live broadcast across Africa, Asia & Europe to 350 million viewers), Kora All Africa Music Awards 2001 (live broadcast across Africa, Asia & Europe), and the SAPPI wards 2001 (Hong Kong).

Michael's passion for understanding the world around him has led him to make a subtle shift in emphasis, by joining a Futurist Consultancy, in 2004. This shift allows him to devote more time to working with individuals and organisations, helping them to understand the way the world works, trends that will affect us in the future, and what to do today, to be ready for them. In particular, Michael Mol has a passion for helping people find true significance and a holistic, balanced approach to the world they live in. This combines his medical training, his life experiences and his business skills in a truly unique blend that sets him aside from the average motivational or inspirational speaker.

Michael is fluent in English and Afrikaans. He has been married to Jacqui since 1994, and has three children.
