Lovemore Mbigi

Prof. Lovemore Mbigi was born in the Zimbabwean Highfield High Density Suburbs.  He grew up in the hills and Savanna plains of Manyene communal land, herding cattle and tilling land. It soon became clear then that this peasant boy was destined to play a key role in redefining and reshaping history, because of his curiosity and high appetite for knowledge and reading.

Professor Lovemore Mbigi is a leading creative management expert who specializes in the areas of transformation management, African Management, especially the African Philosophy of Ubuntu, spiritual issues of management, as well as African political and public policy issues.

The professor is particularly qualified to talk about transformation issues, as he has lived through many revolutions in Southern Africa including Zimbabwe, South Africa and Namibia. In these countries during the periods of quantum change, he facilitated the transformation processes of many large companies.

Lovemore is also qualified to talk about spiritual issues of management. At the age of three years he was given over to his grandmother who was a Rainmaker Spirit – the spirit of Dembetembe. He grew up in the mist of African Spirit Religion and has written extensively on African spiritual mythology. He has developed frameworks for its application to the management of organization spirit, strategy, creativity and transformation.
