Pretoria-born Dale Hayes – Celebrity Golfer is a three-time PGA Championship winner.  He also won the Swiss, Spanish, Italian, Colombian, French and S.A. Opens and was a World Cup Winner in 1974.

As an amateur, Dale’s wins included the Brazilian and German Amateurs, South African Strokeplay and the World Junior Championship, USA, all in 1969.

He also made the Springbok team in that year.  In 1970, he won the SA Strokeplay champs for the second year, and once again was selected to represent the National side.

As a Professional, Dales successes included winning the South African PGA 1974, 1975 & 1976; the SA Open 1976; the Spanish Open 1971 & 1979; the Italian Open 1978; the French Open 1978; the Columbian Open in 1980 and 17 other professional tournaments.

He was the South African Order of Merit Leader 1973; Winner of the World Cup for South Africa 1974; European Order of Merit Leader 1975; European Order of Merit Runner – up 1974 & 1978; South African Order of Merit Runner – up 1974, 1975, 1976 & 1979; Honorary Member of South African Professional Golfers Association.

Currently, Dale Hayes – Celebrity Golfer is the presenter of MNET’s “The Pitch & Putter” Golf Magazine programme.  He is also involved with The Complete Golfer Magazine, co-ordinates golf days and events, conducts fun golf clinics at corporate golf days; he is a Director of Matkovich & Hayes Golf Course Architects, and is also a Member of the Golf Commentary Team for the Golf Channel (USA).
