Harald Pakendorf – Political Speaker has a degree in History and Political Science and spent a year at Harvard as a Nieman Fellow. His many years in senior editorial positions have provided him with direct access to contacts right across the political spectrum. Harald is now available through Speakers Inc.

He presently works as a freelance journalist, a professional speaker and a political analyst for major corporations. He also publishes a privately circulated monthly newsletter and is a regular analyst for SABC TV and Radio 702.

Regarded as one of the top political speakers in the country, Harald delivers remarkably frank, interesting and entertaining presentations pertaining to the current and future political scenarios of South Africa.

Harald has edited three different newspapers during his thirty years in journalism; has contributed to five books on politics and the media and is a regular analyst of political matters for local and international radio and television stations, as well as major corporations.

He publishes a monthly newsletter, is a public speaker, a free-lance journalist and edits two annual reviews, one on the performance of the SA Government, the other on Health Matters (Private Health Care).

Harald’s many years in senior editorial positions have provided him with unique access to contacts right across the political spectrum.  Harald has served on seven different committees tasked with awarding scholarships and prizes to journalists.

Harald Pakendorf was co-author of the constitution of the SA Media Council, of which he was also a founding member.

Harald Pakendorf – Political Speaker has visited Europe and the United States on several occasions to address conferences on political and media matters in Southern Africa, has contributed to five books (on political and media matters), writes for a variety of publications locally and overseas, and is regularly interviewed as a South African analyst by American, British and German radio and television stations.
