Their regular duo package consists of solo sax and vocals for cocktails, background music on CD for an hour or so (when your guests enter the room), followed by four hours of live music and DJ services for an hour at the end.

If a larger band is needed, clients are welcome to add on any of the musicians that they have to offer (up to a 5-piece band). Options include Shereen on keyboard/vocals/sax, Colin on vocals/sax, Buli on vocals and David, Lee-Roy, Bruce or Rob on drums.

Havana Gas also offers ‘African Time’, their newest, funkiest, hippest sound to hit the scene! Storme and Doug merge their talents with other great musicians to take you on a musical journey through Africa, playing songs from different countries in different languages by artists such as Youssou n’Dour, Angelique Kidjo, Manu di Bango, Khadja Nin, Ismael Lo and Richard Bona. You’ll hear a great selection of home grown hits by Judith Sephuma, Hugh Masekela, Mandoza, Rebecca, Ringo, Brenda Fassie, Ernie Smith, Miriam Makeba and Mango Groove.

The band will supply a stereo output from their own Mackie 1604 mixer (all vocals and instruments except drums and percussion).

Front-of-house sound technician would need to mic up the drums/percussion and blend the drum/perc sound with the supplied mix.

The band normally sets up a pair of HK speakers on stands as side-fills to supplement the in-house monitoring system.
The band will supply all our own instruments, backline equipment, drums and percussion. With special arrangements the band can arrange to bring some “disco” lights.
