Her wealth of experience and expertise in commercial sectors and strategy development have been recognised as a niche specialisation, particularly in development of skilled entrepreneurs and leaders in the South African retail sector. Monalisa is a panel expert for a premium business television show supporting entrepreneurial development in South Africa and recently founded and launched the first business support initiative aimed at developing more Women Retail Entrepreneurs and Leaders in South Africa.

She is passionate about the development of the youth and women in South Africa, recognising this section of the population being the most disadvantaged and under developed to participate meaningfully in both the economic and social sectors of the country.

She is the Chairman of Spark International: South Africa – International Non-Profit Organisation enabling ‘change makers’ who are moving their communities out of poverty in South Africa.
She was a keynote speaker at the Global Expo Botswana hosted by the Botswana Trade & Investment Centre – Women in Business Africa – November 2014.

Monalisa was featured on Power FM Radio Business slot for launching a new business support initiative in South Africa – Women in Retail SA – August 2014.
She launched the Women in Retail SA, a TRH business support initiative aimed at supporting, developing women retailpreneurs and leaders in South Africa – August 2014.

She was featured in Forbes Africa Magazine with Dr Richard Maponya, ‘The Father of Black Retail’ as a young and upcoming entrepreneur impacting on the South African retail sector inspired by his work and achievements – February 2014.

She successfully facilitated the incorporation of Tungwa Retail Holdings into the Ebeltoft Group, a global alliance of leading Retail Consultants. TRH became the first African alliance of the group – October 2013.

Monalisa was the first and youngest Centre Manager of the largest shopping centre, (Maponya Mall) in South Africa’s biggest township, Soweto.
Monalisa was the youngest black female appointed in Centre Management at Old Mutual Property Investment in 2005 as Centre Manager for Cavendish Square.
